Hello Fellow Ministers at Christ Our Hope and anyone else who may have wandered into viewing this blog,
It is such a joy to minister with you and serve you as the Ministry Coordinator at Christ Our Hope that I wanted to start a blog because there is so much to share!
I would like to start off by introducing myself. You can see a little of who I am on the landing page and I wanted to expand on my history with Christ Our Hope. I have the pleasure and privilege to say that I have been here since the parish opened in 2011. I remember sitting down with Fr. Paul in one of the planning meetings and he mentioned "well, we'll need some ministers for our services". I immediately told him that I could make an excel spreadsheet with places for each of the ministries and simply print them out every week and have people sign up. And he said, "great! you're in charge of scheduling ministers!". I remember that conversation fondly because many of you may have had a similar experience. Fr. Paul shows great confidence in people and it has been a great joy to be at source with him for scheduling, training, and coordinating ministers since we opened the doors of the church. And it continues to be such a rewarding and life giving experience.
I also have interest and talents in music so in addition to Ministers, I am also the regular cantor for the evening mass at 7pm on Sundays and coordinate with the morning cantor to select music and oversee the music ministry. I have also expanded my interest in seeing young adult Catholics in our church get more involved and getting to know each other. That started with just a few of us going out for drinks and has now developed into 3 other gals heading up Young Adult activities at the parish with me and a thriving Young Adult Catholic ministry at Christ Our Hope I am happy to be a part of as well. So if you know of any Catholic Young Adults or anyone who'd like to get involved in music ministry, have them get in touch with me!
